Purpose:
The Library Advisory Team will represent and empower the Cazenovia High School community in the process of analyzing and directing the library program.
Represent - the LAT will be a diverse group of students and staff members with a wide range of perspectives. It will not be just “readers” and English teachers.
Empower - the LAT will enable and encourage community members to share their perspective and influence decision-making. Analyze - the LAT will use data and observations to assess the condition of the library program and identify viable updates. Direct - the LAT will articulate the community’s priorities for the library program. |
Norms:
- 30 minute meetings, 2-3 agenda items each.
- We will not always agree, but we will respect each other and assume positive intent.
- We cannot implement every idea, but we will give everyone the opportunity to share their perspective - either with the whole group or in small groups.
- Commitment for the whole year is appreciated, but all HS community members are welcome to attend as many meetings as they are able.
